Slovenia

Slovenia is situated in the heart of Europe, bordered by Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia. Slovenia enviably remains unchanged and unaffected by the huge crowds of tourists that descend on the French and Austrian Alps. Traverse the peaks, deep valleys and gorges in the shadow of Triglav and stop to take in the crystal clear waterfalls and lakes. At higher levels you’ll cross open meadows, lush green valleys and climb above the tree line for walks along rocky ridges.

Slovenia offers walkers and nature enthusiasts a wonderful outdoor experience. At their Eastern end the mighty mountains of the Alps spill over into northern Slovenia. Here are the Julian Alps, first class hiking country.
