Slovenia Walking Holidays

Slovenia is situated in the heart of Europe, bordered by Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia. Slovenia enviably remains unchanged and unaffected by the huge crowds of tourists that descend on the French and Austrian Alps. On meticulously crafted Slovenia walking holidays,  traverse the peaks, deep valleys and gorges in the shadow of Mount Triglav and stop to take in the crystal-clear waterfalls and lakes. At higher levels, you’ll cross open meadows and lush green valleys and climb above the tree line for walks along rocky ridges.

Why choose Slovenia for your walking holiday?

A Slovenia walking holiday offers walkers and nature enthusiasts a wonderful outdoor experience and breathtaking scenery. At their eastern end, the mighty mountains of the Alps spill over into northern Slovenia. This is where you will find the Julian Alps, a place renowned as first-class hiking country.

Slovenia is also the perfect destination for cultural exploration. Along its scenic trails, you’ll encounter charming villages, medieval castles, and traditional farmhouses. Slovenia’s rich history and local cuisine add to the adventure.

Whether you prefer gentle strolls or challenging mountain hikes, the varied terrain in Slovenia caters to all levels of walkers.
