Our Walks & Tours in Africa & the Middle East

Trekkers seeking exceptional experiences and adventure look no further; our walking holidays in Africa and the Middle East offer close encounters with the ‘Big Five’, exclusive bushman and local guides, trips to iconic landmarks and a wealth of ways to soak up culture and interact with people.

Why Visit Africa & the Middle East?

The vast range of landscapes across Africa and the Middle East provides an unspoiled, unparalleled backdrop for the avid explorer. Alive and beating with intense colour, incredible wilderness and sacred traditions, they are truly rewarding places.

Our hand-picked Africa walking holidays and Middle East treks allow you to immerse yourself in the wild spaces, history and culture of these magnificent destinations.

Travel with us to explore North Africa. In Morocco, cross desert dunes on a camel trek or hike among the High Atlas Mountains, meet Berber villagers and haggle in a souk. Immerse yourself in Egypt’s ancient culture and let an expert guide bring the Pyramids, sites and monuments to life. In the Middle East, Jordan contrasts these with the iconic ruins of Petra, the Red Rose City, and the villages and wadis of Oman to reveal thousands of years of history.

In Sub-Saharan Africa, summit Table Mountain and walk the Garden Route in South Africa. Combine Zimbabwe and Botswana to experience the world-class Victoria Falls, known to the locals as the ‘Smoke that thunders’, and unwind with a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. Then uncover the watery pathways of the Okavango Delta by motorboat and mokoro, a type of traditional dugout canoe. On foot, you’ll track elephants, giraffes and waterbucks, and our expert guides will share their understanding of the African bush and its customs through story-telling and hands-on experiences.

Why Choose Ramble Worldwide for Your Next Walking Holiday?

Ramble Worldwide is committed to an ethos of sustainable travel, which is especially important in Africa’s protected conservations and among the iconic sites of the Middle East. Visits to these places are done under careful supervision to ensure the protection of these precious savannahs.
