Stunning Stubai

High in the Stubai – August 11th -25th
Having enjoyed Ramblers Hutting tours for a few years I decided to try the Stubai Honenweg for the more challenging ‘B’ grade peaks.

It was another fantastic trek and staying up in the mountains for 2 weeks was an extra bonus. It was something of a peak bagging tour- 11 in total with some only a short climb from a col.

It was a flexible walk, which even allowed for some with knee injuries to continue the tour by missing out on some of the peaks. The first day set the scene with 3 peaks – with crosses on the top.

The most exhilarating climb was the Rinnenspitze- with metal footsteps, wire ropes and quite exposed. Other peaks also included using some wire ropes.

The views every day were totally breathtaking and the Habicht was a good mountain for the final day. Thanks to all the group for their support and good company.
