West Highland Way Highlights

Kathleen Mochan | Tue 05 Jan 2016

Fantastic scenery walking along Loch Lomond in brilliant sunshine; sparkling water, blue sky with a backdrop of mountains – very uplifting.

Connich Hill; a delightful, gentle climb offering lovely views.

Devil’s Staircase; the one challenging climb and worth the effort for the stunning views.

Awesome highlands of Glencoe –very majestic.

Gartmore House Hotel ; a fantastic location. Very old 18th Century experience ; extensive grounds with part of ruined castle; manicured lawns with flowering bushes and trees with magnificent colours; and varied delightful walks through forested areas. The hospitality was excellent with wonderful staff.

Throughout the walk the friendship and companionship of others in the group and those met during the eight days of walking was an absolute delight. The achievement at completing the walk was great when celebrating with others! Really good walk!!
