Job purpose (Why does my role exist? What value does my role bring?)
This role’s purpose is to lead and motivate a sales team, ensuring they meet performance targets through regular feedback and coaching. It involves managing team schedules, appraisals, and payroll reporting, while also supporting phone operations and building relationships with partners.
Reports to Operations Director.
Location: Lemsford Mill, Lemsford Village, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City AL8 7TR
Key accountabilities (What do I need to deliver/achieve to be effective in this role?)
Duties:
Lead and motivate a team of Sales Consultant’s.
Monitor the team’s performance, holding them accountable through regular feedback back using clear KPI’s & sales targets.
Ensure the team have regular 1-2-1`s, ad-hoc coaching and team briefings to discuss performance, discuss strategy and provide update on departmental procedures
Ensure each member of the team has 6 month reviews and annual appraisals
Monitor overtime, bonus amounts and report to HR in time for payroll.
Manage departmental rota and holiday requests ensuring there is adequate telephone coverage throughout the year. This includes weekends as deemed necessary.
Other tasks required by Senior Leadership or needed in the day to day running of the team.
Set team targets and own the departmental incentive schemes.
Support phones team by covering the phones as needed
Build rapport and relationships with travel agencies.
Key member in the Management Team and the Incident & Crisis Teams.
Work with the wider Management Team to ensure new recruits are given comprehensive training on sales, service, destinations we offer and our product.
Provide regular updates on trading, conversion and service levels, providing updates in trade meeting and as required by the Senior Leadership Team.
Attend trade shows and events.
