Day 2

Discover Delhi

Meals

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Accommodation

You’ll be welcomed with a warm reception upon arrival at Delhi International Airport and transferred to your hotel where you will start your day with breakfast at the hotel before setting out to explore the vibrant capital of India.

Your first stop is the iconic Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, one of the most prominent Sikh temples in Delhi, known for its majestic golden dome and the sacred pool. Built in 1783 under the supervision of Sikh General Sardar Bhagel Singh, this revered place of worship stands as a symbol of faith and service.

After your visit, experience the deeply spiritual practice of "Seva" (selfless service). Before entering the temple, you’ll leave your shoes at the Joda Ghar (shoe house) and walk through a shallow pool of water to cleanse your feet. Inside, you’ll witness devotees volunteering in various acts of service, washing dishes, cleaning, and serving meals. You’ll have the opportunity to join in and help prepare or serve Langar, a free community meal offered to all, feeding over 10,000 people daily. Enjoy this simple, soulful meal while sitting cross-legged in a row, just as tradition dictates.

After, take a scenic drive through Lutyens’ Delhi, the colonial heart of New Delhi. Pass by grand landmarks including Parliament House and India Gate, and admire the elegant bungalows and government buildings that reflect the grandeur of British-era architecture.

Visit the stunning Humayun’s Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first garden-tomb in the Indian subcontinent. Commissioned by Empress Bega Begum in 1569, this masterpiece of Persian-inspired Mughal architecture served as the inspiration for the Taj Mahal.

Later, take a leisurely walk through Connaught Place's Inner Circle, the pulsating commercial centre of New Delhi. This is the perfect place to experience the city’s street life.

Wrap up your day with a memorable dinner at GT Road Restaurant in Connaught Place. Inspired by the historic Grand Trunk Road, this buffet-style restaurant takes you on a culinary journey through flavours from Kabul to Chittagong. Enjoy live grills at your table, mouth-watering appetizers like Bhatti Ka Paneer Tikka and Zafrani Murgh Tikka, and signature Indian chaats from the live counter.  The restaurant’s antique décor adds a charming, old-world touch to this unforgettable dining experience.

Day 3

Taj Mahal & Agra Fort

Meals

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Today you will board an early morning train heading to Agra, where on arrival you will check into your hotel and head out to to the most extravagant monument found in India- the Taj Mahal, built by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife.

After you will visit Agra Fort, built in red stone in the year 1565 by Akbar. The fort had over 500 buildings many of which were made of marble. At that period river Yamuna touched the fort and that is why the fort had many Ghats so that goods could be brought in and out of the fort. The fort has great palaces that boast of its richness and its great walls speak a lot about the power and the might of the kind.

Meals

Another train journey to start the day today as you head to Bhopal where you arrive in the late afternoon to check in at your hotel for 3 nights. After time to unpack and freshen up you will head towards Van Vihar National Park, a unique wildlife park located right in the middle of the city.

The scenic banks of the Upper Lake, bordered by the lush greenery of the surrounding forest, provide a perfect setting for birdwatchers, wildlife photographers, and nature enthusiasts. At Van Vihar National Park, animals live in spacious, near-natural enclosures, most of them rescued, orphaned, or relocated from different parts of the state. You will explore the park via a road that runs through it, separated from the animals by natural barriers like trenches, walls, and chain-link fences instead of traditional cages.

The museum showcases traditional life across various Indian communities through a blend of indoor galleries and open-air exhibits, including tribal homes, rituals, art forms, and tools, offering an insightful look into India’s living cultures. These wooden offerings can still be seen at the temple today, preserving a powerful tradition that continues to thrive.

The area is home to the Bheel and Bhilala tribes, where some households still use utensils made from dried vegetables, reflecting a sustainable, nature-integrated lifestyle. Through our commitment to responsible travel, we aim to create enriching experiences for our guests while actively contributing to the conservation of the destinations we explore.

The Ramble Worldwide Outdoor Trust

Unlike many other tour operators, we take pride in our unique approach. Ramble Worldwide channels its surplus profits back into various outdoor, walking-related, or environmental conservation projects in the UK through our own trust. When you choose us, you contribute to this impactful initiative.

The Ramble Worldwide Outdoor Trust is passionate about making the outdoors more accessible for more people from all communities. We grant funds to many organisations and have recently partnered with Mind Over Mountains, Adaptive Grand Slam, and other groups to create an enduring impact on people’s lives and to support them to enjoy the outdoors. In addition, the Trust makes many small grants to local organisations such as Ramblers Groups, Walkers are Welcome, My kind of Books and recently provided a small grant, via his scouting group, to enable a young man whose family had fallen on hard times to complete his DofE Gold award.

Patron of the Trust is the renowned explorer, Mark Wood. Over 20 years Mark has undertaken expeditions to some of the most remote parts of our planet. Our shared values make for an exciting partnership, and we believe that by standing shoulder to shoulder we can encourage people from all communities to enjoy being active outdoors in whatever way suits them best.
