Combining a cruise and a walking holiday offers the perfect blend of exploration and relaxation. We have partnered with Fred.Olsen, so you can travel on one of their cruise ships to discover a destination in depth with our small group guided walking itineraries. On these elegant, smaller ships you’ll reach interesting places that bigger ships can’t, arriving into remote ports that you can explore from the moment you step ashore. Roam the British Isles, from the Channel Islands to island hopping in the Orkneys. Sail to Norway, Iceland and Greenland, cruising gently through spectacular scenery to witness dramatic fjords, steepling snow-capped peaks, glaciers tumbling into the sea and super-heated geysers, potentially bathed beneath the greatest light show on earth as the Aurora Borealis dance overhead.
Although most of our cruise holidays depart from UK ports, there are a number of fly-cruises as well, where you can hop aboard a cruise from Spain to Italy, sail the Adriatic or cruise from Croatia to discover Greece and the Greek Islands. Return flights and airport transfers are included in the cost of these voyages alongside all of our usual cruise inclusions.
On all of our cruise and walk holidays, visits to cities and towns are perfectly complemented with active days spent rambling ashore, accompanied by our seasoned leaders and often local guides. Back on board, you can then enjoy the warm atmosphere and civilised, personal service as you sail to the next adventure.

Hop aboard a 10-night cruise from Rome to Dubrovnik, exploring the Adriatic’s gems. Begin in Rome, then journey to Kotor, Koper, Sibenik, and Split. Conclude your cruise in Dubrovnik, walking its iconic city walls and enjoying breathtaking views.

Rambler and photographer Richard Hobday loved his walking holiday in October 2014 trip to the spectacular Bay of Kotor (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) - and gives us his daily diary.
Read moreWe were starting day four of our seven night Cruise & Walk to Norway, navigating the fjord approaching Flam just before sunrise. I had been slow to catch on to the idea that it was possible for a five-star hotel to, literally, float hundreds of miles to the next destination while I slumbered,...
